Picture Calls

I just wanted to thank you and Yvonne and everyone else involved for hosting this important service. I sell my images on several sites, and while I am just getting started on fotoLibra and haven’t made any sales yet, I am very excited about our new “relationship”. The reason?
Photo Calls.
No other agency that I work with has provided a service as thorough as this for the photographers. It not only gives us a clear opportunity to get shots into the system BEFORE a buyer makes choices, but also provides a wealth of shooting ideas for enhancing our portfolios. I submitted my first shots for picture calls this weekend, and hope that they bear fruit. Even if they don’t, though, I look forward to participating in many more.

I think your picture calls are a brilliant idea, especially as sellers get an idea of what kind of images are acceptable in each catagory via the critia message that you put up and the images that have already been posted. I am a little confused though because when I read the criteria for Summer Gardens you stated that the images that were required were those of garden views and not single flowers but there are lots of single flowers that have been uploaded. Do you not refuse any images that do not adhere to the criteria required? Or is the criteria just a guide? If it is, please let me know and I will submit single close up shots of flowers too. Apart from that little gripe, I love your site and I will endeavour to build up my own image library as time goes on. Keep up the great work. Thank you.
Thank you Fiona. We do our best!
We have no control on what members decide to upload, but only the images that meet the client’s criteria for particular Picture Calls are forwarded in the lightboxes we create for them.
When for example a buyer specifies Portrait images and a member decides to submit Landscape images for the Picture Call, they are not shown to the client.
